The International Chamber of Commerce in Afghanistan launched the newest version of Incoterms 2020 in National languages (Pashto & Dari) in Afghanistan. The Incoterms 2020 will help prepare businesses for the next century of global trade.  The event was generously funded by Harakat, sponsored by National Fuel Cooperation, Rahmani Group, Azizi Bank and Afghan United Bank.

The event was attend by H.E Mr. Hussni Mubarak Azizi, Deputy and Acting Minister of Transport of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Mr. Haji Mayel khairkhwa Mr. Abdul Qadir Bahman, Secretary General of ICC Afghanistan, Mr. Noor Hakimyar, CEO of Harakat, Mr. Ismail Ghazanfar, Chairman of Afghanistan Chambers Federation, Representatives for National Chambers, Academics, Lawyers and high ranked government officials.

The event also focused on a panel discussion “PPD on The role of Incoterms in Standardization of International Trade”. Was composed of Dr. Haroun Rahimi, Law Professor at the American University of Afghanistan, Mr. Farooq Nabizada, Trade expert, was moderated by Emraan Rahmani, Head of Dispute Resolution & Policy, ICC Afghanistan.

Members of the panel shared their ideas and views on the newest edition of the Incoterms and discussed the importance of Incoterms 2020 in Standardization of International Trade.

The incredibly rewarding interesting event was followed by a lunch reception where the speakers and attendees were able to continue exchanging their views on Incoterms and its importance in Trade.
